William L. Space papers, 1931-1937.

This collection consists of materials from William Space's time as a Penn State student. There are several photographs of the cross country team and the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity house. There are also several photographs of buildings on campus, including Schwab Auditorium, Pond Laboratory, Home Economics Building, Physics Building, Old Main, Dairy Building, men's and women's dormitories, Armory, Botany Building, Recreation Hall, Infirmary, Main Engineering Building, Women's Building, Carnegie Library, McAllister Hall, Mineral Industries Building, and the Rose Gardens. There are several materials concerning the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, including pins, paddle, plaque, songbook of fraternity songs, and a 1937 directory of Delta Sigma Phi members. There is also a cloth 1933 Penn State pendant, a blue dink hat, dance cards, and a commencement program from 1933.

William L. Space, of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, graduated from the Pennsylvania State College in 1933 with a degree in electrical engineering. While at Penn State, he played freshman basketball and ran cross country and track for four years. He was a member of Druids, Skull and Bones, and Delta Sigma Phi. From the description of William L.
